COMMUNITY EVENT | MAY 16, 2026

We're Heading to Markham Museum This Saturday. We'd Love to See You There.

We’ll be at International Museum Day 2026 — come find the Vaultra booth, grab some popcorn, and enjoy a great afternoon with the neighbourhood.

This Saturday, Markham Museum is hosting International Museum Day 2026 — a free, family-friendly afternoon built around the theme of Bees, Bugs & Pollinators. And we’ll be there.

Our Vaultra Storage location sits at 8623 McCowan Rd, just down the road from the museum on Markham Road. This community is our community — our neighbours walk past our facility, store their stuff with us through moves and renovations and life’s bigger transitions, and this is exactly the kind of day we want to show up for. Not with a sales pitch. Just as a local business that’s genuinely glad to be here.

We’ll have a booth at the event with free popcorn, a spin-to-win prize wheel where everyone walks away with something, and a team of real people happy to have a proper conversation — about storage or otherwise. If the timing is right and you’ve been thinking about a unit, we can walk you through our current offer: free storage for up to 4 weeks, available to win when you sign up at our booth. Terms & conditions apply.

What's on at the museum

The event runs from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at 9350 Markham Road, with free admission all day. There’s a lot happening across the grounds — highlights include a Build Your Own Wild Bee Home activity, an Alvéole beekeeping workshop from 2:00 to 3:00 PM, Mini Putt, the Transportation Hall Activity Centre, and the Everyday Superheroes exhibition.

The Markham Community Makers will be on-site, and A Picture of Markham: The Art of Pat Wheeler is well worth a look if you want a quieter moment in the afternoon.

It’s a genuinely good day out. We hope to see you there — stop by the Vaultra booth and say hello.
