In December 2020, Vaultra Storage welcomed an exciting and important partnership withMake-A-Wish® Canada. Philanthropy and giving back has always been a core value to the two co-founders Prakash Gunasingham and Shawn Shanmuganathan. Make-A-Wish® Canada is a non-profit organization with a mission to raise funds and awareness to help grant life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses.
It’s been an especially hard year for the wish families. To protect the health of wish kids and their families, Make-A-Wish® paused wish-granting that involves travel and gatherings until further notice. Right now, there are 435 wish kids whose wishes have been postponed because of COVID-19 — and that number grows every day as this crisis continues.
Vaultra knew they wanted to do something to help all the children and families affected. Prakash says, “Social responsibility and giving back to the community is important to us. Children are precious, it is heartbreaking that some of them experience such hardships in their lives. We want to offer our support.” Thus, Make-A-Wish® December was introduced. We committed to a $20 donation for each new storage unit rented at any of our 10 locations across Ontario and Alberta. It was a great initiative that got all of our locations involved, starting from our very first facility in Lloydminster, Alberta to our newest location in Toronto, Ontario.

Collectively, in the month of December, Vaultra was able to make a donation of $3000 to Make-A-Wish® Canada.
The team is thrilled at the results and we have you, our valued customers, to thank for this donation. We’re also pleased to announce that this partnership with be long-term. For every storage unit rented, across all of Vautra’s locations, a portion of the rent will be donated to Make-A-Wish® Canada.
